We visited the highlands of Scotland, Isle of Skye, and the Hebrides. From highland cows and lambs, mountain peaks and waterfalls, to the distilleries we had mostly grey rainy skies, but every once and a while the sun cast long shadows on the yellow & green grasslands of the countryside. Driving one lane roads in a right side drive rental was a unique experience, but the sights were worth it. We spent 6 nights in Glencoe giving us access to the highlands. We visited the Highland Trail and did a small section of it, downhill biked at World Cup course in Fort William with brand new rental Saracen Myst's. The seafood was amazingly fresh with some of the best scallops and langoustines you can get.
After the Highlands, we took a ferry to the Hebrides on Isle of Harris (the same as Harris Tweed), and then toured all around the Isle of Skye. We stopped by some of the most picture perfect viewpoints: Neist Point's lighthouse, the Fairy Pools of Sligachan, and of course Old Man Storr.
